Get clearer insight into what your body may be trying to tell you
When you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, bloated, hormonally out of balance, or simply not like yourself, it can be frustrating when you don’t know where to start.
Testing can provide useful insight into what may be contributing to your symptoms, helping us move beyond guesswork and create a more personalised plan to support your energy, resilience, digestion, hormones, and wider wellbeing.
At Nourish to Soar, testing is used alongside your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals, because results are only one piece of the picture.
Why testing can be helpful
Testing may help identify areas where your body could need more support, such as nutrient status, inflammation, hormone patterns, gut health, metabolic health, stress response, or genetic tendencies.
These are available as add-ons to current packages
A comprehensive blood test can provide insight into key areas such as blood count, liver and kidney function, thyroid markers, iron, inflammation, blood sugar, cholesterol, and nutrient status. This includes a review from a private GP, helping to ensure results are assessed appropriately and any medical concerns are highlighted where needed.
A functional stool test exploring areas such as digestion, gut bacteria, inflammation, absorption, and gut health markers. This may be helpful for those experiencing ongoing digestive symptoms, changes in bowel habits, bloating, or suspected gut imbalance.
A food sensitivity blood test looking at immune reactions to a range of foods. This may be considered where symptoms suggest food reactions may be playing a role, particularly alongside digestive symptoms, inflammation, or ongoing unexplained symptoms.
DNA reports can provide insight into genetic tendencies that may influence areas such as methylation, detoxification, hormones, inflammation, energy production, and nutrient needs. These reports do not diagnose conditions, but they can help personalise nutrition and lifestyle recommendations. This is a buccal swab test.
This test include markers linked to hormones, cortisol patterns, and nutritional deficiencies. A salvia and urine test. It may be useful for women experiencing changes in mood, energy, sleep, cycle patterns, stress tolerance, or symptoms linked to perimenopause, menopause, or hormonal imbalance.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis can provide insight into mineral patterns and potential imbalances. This may be used as part of a wider picture when considering stress, energy, mineral status, and longer-term nutritional patterns. This is a hair test.
This centrifuged blood test explores markers linked to metabolic and cardiovascular health. It may be useful for those wanting deeper insight into blood sugar regulation, cholesterol patterns, inflammation, and longer-term cardiometabolic risk factors.
A Continuous Glucose Monitor tracks blood sugar patterns in real time, helping us understand how food, sleep, stress, movement, and lifestyle may be impacting your energy, cravings, mood, and resilience.
Other Tests Available
Other testing options may be available depending on your symptoms, goals, and health history. A conversation is needed to decide which test, if any, is most appropriate.
Testing can be incredibly useful, but it is not always necessary. Sometimes the best place to start is with your nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, stress, movement, and daily routines. Other times, testing helps us understand what may be going on beneath the surface.
The aim is always to choose the most appropriate route for you, not to test for the sake of testing.
How it works
1. We start with a conversation
We discuss your symptoms, goals, health history, and what you’re hoping to understand.
2. We choose the most appropriate test
If testing is suitable, I’ll explain what the test looks at, what it can and cannot tell us, and how it fits into your wider plan.
3. You complete the test
This may involve a blood draw, stool sample, urine sample, hair sample, or home test kit, depending on the test chosen.
4. We review the results together
You’ll receive guidance to help you understand what the results may mean and what practical steps could support your health.
Important note: Testing does not replace medical care or diagnosis. I do not diagnose medical conditions, and these tests are undertaken to help inform personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations as part of your wider wellbeing plan. Where results indicate a potential medical concern, you may be advised to speak with your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional.
Not sure which test is right for you? Book a complimentary 30-minute health and energy review to discuss which test will support you in having more understanding.
